(a) How do we evolve a pattern that will accelerate our rate of development?
(b) How do we repudiate, our traditional norms and of emancipating ourselves from the hands
of our pseudo leaders?
Simply put, how do we carry out these arduous tasks of total liberation: Liberation from the
hand of neighbouring imperialism, liberation from the hand of cultural down-tiredness, liberation from the hand of commercial backwardness, liberation from the hand of educational boredom and lastly from the hand of occultism. Remember, yesterday is gone, but its consequences reach into and somehow influence the happenings of today. Tomorrow is uncertain and yet to come but what it will be is in part determined by the events of today. Today is the meeting point of yesterday and tomorrow. In it,
we can review the past days.
Based on the review we can predict, plan, and control the events of tomorrow. Today holds the key to the happiness and sorrows of days yet to come. This is the reason for the Biblical emphasis on "Now" when speaking about the epic return of Christ, "now is the day of salvation
now is the acceptable time". The Ibo people emphasize the same thing when they say "nku onye
Kpara n'okochi K'ona Anya n'udu mmiri". In effect, what has this book set out to highlight?
With the increasing dynamism taking place in community development method and approach,
there is the need, now too; for a more radical approach to be applied for as to catch up with our
neighbours at least by the end of this millennium.
