True patriotism is difficult to demonstrate. It is more than offering money and services to a person's place of birth. It is more than the unrelenting defense of people's interests, for this could be positive or negative depending upon the moral locus of the patriot. But in my opinion, the highest patriotism is to put on record in black and white, the cultural background of a people. It is the highest service a person may render to their place of birth. It is not surprising that the person to render this kind of service to Nkporo is none other than Eze/Elder U.O. Agbaeze, the traditional ruler of Amurie Nkporo Autonomous Community. No other person is better qualified to do this kind of service than the man who had been different things to both his community Amurie Nkporo, and the Nkporo clan, having been at the vanguard of education until he retired as Headmaster Special Class, and at the vanguard of Nkporo cultural unionism until only his installation as the Otam 1 of Amurie Nkporo Autonomous community made him a less active member of Nkporo Development Union. As a traditional ruler, he is now in his proper position as the custodian of the people's culture. Any wonder we are being presented with this invaluable record to remind us of the glory that was Nkporo
